The groundbreaking ceremony for SJK(C) Han Chiang’s new school building marks a significant milestone in the school's continuous efforts to provide quality education and enhanced learning facilities. This expansion project reflects the school’s long-term commitment to academic excellence and student development, further strengthening its role as a key educational institution in Penang.

The new four-storey building, set to be completed by November this year, will feature 22 classrooms, modern educational facilities, and a covered basketball court. This development will transition the school into a single-session system, creating a better learning environment for students.

Education remains a top priority for the Penang State Government, which has contributed RM100,000 to support the construction of this new school block. Additionally, Tan Sri Tan Kok Ping has made a generous RM5 million donation, further solidifying community and private sector support for the project. These contributions highlight a shared vision for educational progress and student success.

With construction already underway, SJK(C) Han Chiang is set to enhance its academic facilities, ensuring a more efficient and holistic educational experience. The project represents a collaborative effort between the government, donors, and the school community to provide state-of-the-art learning spaces for future generations.

The completion of this project will not only benefit current students but will also leave a lasting impact on the community, reinforcing Han Chiang’s legacy as a leading Chinese primary school in Penang.
