The reconstruction of Pasar Awam Seberang Jaya marks a significant transformation, bringing a modern, sustainable, and efficient market space to the community. After years of redevelopment, the new market is designed to enhance trading conditions, visitor experience, and environmental sustainability, ensuring a better marketplace for both vendors and customers.
With a Green Building Index (GBI) certification, the market now features 263 trading lots, improved ventilation, natural lighting, and ample parking with 450 spaces. These upgrades reflect a commitment to energy efficiency, accessibility, and modern architectural standards while preserving the traditional essence of a public market.
The project is a major step forward in urban revitalization, reinforcing Seberang Jaya’s role as a thriving commercial hub. Managed by Seberang Perai City Council (MBSP), the new market is expected to provide a vibrant and dynamic space for commerce, culture, and community interactions.
